QUINCY – One of the big Quincy Center apartment buildings approved this year will start to take shape next month.
LBC Boston has secured financing from East boston Savings Bank for its 171-unit Nova Residences apartment project at 1500 Hancock St., and crews will begin to lay down the foundation in a couple of weeks, said Andrian Shapiro, a principal at LBC.
“They’re going the foundation in the first week of January,” he said Tuesday.
He said the project remains on track to finish up in spring 2019.
Over the summer, LBC knocked down the strip of storefronts that existed there, which had included Gentle Dental and the Half Door bar, to make way for the upcoming seven-story building.
